Blizzard may have avoided the latest round of layoffs on XBOX.
Blizzard has opened work a few days after the big XBOX reset.
As shared by Idle Sloth, Blizzard is looking for a Lead Systems Engineer at their main Irvine studio, which is also their headquarters.
The job listing says this:
We are looking for a Principal Systems Engineer, Unreal Engine 5 to oversee development of the core engine for our game.
This listing is specifically looking for engineers with more than 8 years of experience in Unreal, using Blueprints and C++. Blizzard is also looking for experience in large-scale AAA game development, and in creating large open worlds.
Blizzard is reportedly not too affected by the layoffs caused by the XBOX reset. Some argue that this reflects how Blizzard owns some of XBOX’s biggest IPs. But it could also be said that Blizzard may have been cut back quite a bit after layoffs over the last three years.
We don’t want to underestimate Blizzard’s current success. Diablo IV, World of WarcraftAnd supervise all of them are doing well critically and commercially with their latest content.
Hopefully these upcoming games will be part of XBOX’s future success.

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.

By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
